    Forecasters are saying that this November is on course for being the warmest in Britain since records began some 353 years ago.

    I can concur with this statement as the garlic I planted in mid-October is now showing a healthy 5 cms of growth.

    Anyone else showing similar results?

    my broad beans are shooting up as are my onions. my purple sprouting are huge. spring cabbage look like being bumper crop.

     More springlike weather… we still have a lot of high quality leaves and barely need the tunnel salads. Spring cabbage is certainly foreward, I hope it does not start to heart up before winter begins, because winter hearts are frost susceptible.

    And there are weeds germinating!
