Its a myth that adding compost/manure makes soil more acid – that comes from the fact that artificial fertiliser increases acidity, and artificial fertiliser used to be called ‘manure’.
My soils have never decreased in pH over decades.
So, what is the problem? I hope it is nothing to do with the fym, which animals/bedding?
I should wait to see how things look in the spring. My garlic sometimes looks yellow at this time of year. When did you sow it?
