Interesting thread, nutrients both in the soil, then my hens and in turn ourselves is of great interest to me. I used composted horse manure last year in some large tubs, it was useless, far too something, nothing grew! small yellowing plants!
I’m back to using grass clippings, leaves, household waste mainly composted in the chicken run … but I still wonder if its optimum in nutrient content, so I do add some green rock dust. I suppose the only way to know is to pay for a lab to check.
My plants look healthy, but I want them to be super healthy and full to the brim of all macro and micro nutrients for optimum health.
