About raised beds. I have three, but am gradually letting them sink down so I can do without the wood, hopefully in a couple of years. Not only because of the slugs, but mainly because I have noticed that I have many many more worms in the beds that are not raised. I treat them the same, they get the same amounts of composted manure and compost, but the difference really surprised me.
