Do you have any specific experience as to whether Leeks ultimately do better germinated in a bed vs in modules/a container, assuming of course that all germination is successful and you have leeks to plant out in due course?
I’ve been going this year with deep balconnieres as it means hopefully that they can be planted out at the start of June (early sowing) or late June (for spring vegetables), giving longer growing time than we’ve had in past years.
But I’m open to do it in beds next year if experience suggests that results are ultimately better sowing in the ground…..
