I have aphids on my currants, quite bad, and they are horrible things. Spraying with soapy water does help, but it’s not a cure. I guess in the wild you would not have a group of currant plantss, just one bush surrounded by plants that attract predators rather than aphids. You’d hope ladybirds etc would home in on them and gorge themselves silly.
