My squash, cucumber and runner/French beans all look a bit poorly thanks to the wind and cold nights, this makes any nibbles more obvious as they struggle to heal. I don’t know what may have caused it, the plants need warmth to grow, should be soon!
Without seeing your plot its hard to be sure but I suspect slugs, if you could be there at dusk with a torch you would probably see them.
