Slasher. A few had leaves like pigs tails ,sow rather than try picking them out I cut them all back. I had seen this video on ytube about onions ,he had a problem with the wind .He had seen this video about cutting the leaves down to keep them looking tidy. He could weed better to ,he said his onions benefitted at the end of the season which is all that matters.
