I’m thinking 2.5cm in the soil with 2.5-5cm of Compost on top to allow for the progressive breakdown of the Compost layer over the next 9 months (plan is to harvest circa mid-July).

How would you suggest planting Onion Sets? Just push them into the Compost layer with tips just showing? Again I haven’t sown Onions the no-dig way.
