Hi Mateo, just to add my twopenneth: I normally stagger salad (eg lettuce [even using Charles’ method of harvesting due to space restrictions], radish and spring onions), quick growing cabbages (eg greyhound for ‘spring’ like greens), kohl rabi, fennel and beetroot. Growing early and late varieties is another method I use to prolong seasons (sprouts, caulis and leeks are veg that I grow like this). I’d also add to be wary of the dates given on seed packets; they take no account of where you are in the country and, certainly for me in Yorkshire, the earliest dates are often way too early!
