One suspects Charles that the analysts need to distinguish between total NPK + others and ‘bioavailable’ NPK + others in compost. Exactly how you measure ‘bioavailability’ is I guess the subject of vigorous debate. Not to mention ‘half life of available nutrients in the compost’, the longer the better (assuming you want resistance to being washed away by heavy rain in winter) presumably being the case.
