Looks similar to something I had last year but not the same.
I don’t recognise it as a vegetable tuber but perhaps it is and I just haven’t come across it.
My guess is it is some kind of flower.
Did you spread your own garden compost on the plot last autumn/winter?
What did you grow on that particular plot last year?
