I just dug my fingers around the plants and the soil is still damp…. it appears that only the bigger tom varieties are affected. I just checked the outdoor toms that have a roof over it and none of them has this problem.

We had 2-3 days of heavy rain last week… and it gets mighty hot (mid 30s to 40s degrees) in the polytunnel even when the actual outside temperature is in it´s mid 20s. Hence, I always have the shade cloth on between 11-3pm.
