There is a lot of nonsense, masquerading as advice. I mean a lot.
Question the source and check their reasons. From my experience, that is poisonous advice! And totally unnecessary.
I keep saying, for squash and pumpkin its about dryness of skin, curing in sun is good if its sunny, otherwise in the warmth of a house up to 25-30C for two weeks.
