Brassicas do not like acid soil so much, nor do they need high alkaline.
I call this a myth, because I do not know of evidence for manure making soil acid.
Artificial manure do a little, i.e. artificial fertiliser, NPK. Perhaps that is the origin of this tale.
So its one job less to do!
