Sorry Jan but the hoops I use are 30+ years old, I found them on a farm in France and have not been able to make anything similar.
You can make supports with alkathene water pipe and sticks into the ends to hold it in the soil.
Also we made some wire supports with 4mm high tensile wire. They kind-of work!
