Thanks for getting back to me so quick.
What I take away from both of you is that they my well need earthing up but instead of the old method of disturbing the soil structure one adds organic matter to cover the growing tubers.
And Charles, a great opening lecture and it’s only when one gets home does one start thinking of the questions one should have asked.
I should have read your website before rather than after your lecture!
