I am also gardening in cornwall, you mention the price of municipal compost, could you tell me where to obtain that round here, and how much they charge? (eg by the ton) I have searched on the internet and sent a few emails, but no luck so far.
I am attempting no dig on my allotment, and so far so good, but having enough compost could prove a limiting factor for me.
