Hi Derek, I reckon it’s the variety, not your methods or the weather.
In my tunnel for example I have a Black Cherry and every fruit has greenback, while the neighbouring plants of other varieties do not.
I have also found that Gardeners’ Delight is prone to greenback. The fruit are good to eat, lacking a little beauty!
