Thank you for your advice Dan
I might experiment by twisting the hoops again to make an internal loop at the apex of the hoop . A cane could then be inserted to support fleece or polythene and cord could be attached to the loops to make supporting guy ropes inside the cloche.
I shall report back on this one!
