compost source, clover paths

slugs can definitely be also here a problem  if straw is used as mulch mass. even if in western regions it is for sure worst. in addition the last winter was pretty mild: more slugs.

I guess we will try some “high-growing” culture or roots with straw and the rest with compost.

wouldn’t you suggest to saw living mulch like clover (N + own biomass) instead of straw (C + purchase) for the paths? and where did/do you get  the compost from?
