Gloves

I use Showa gardening gloves. They are cotton backed with a coated palm, strong enough for weeding and general gardening but allow finer work such as sowing and pricking out. They wash easily – although I do get through several pairs a season. Available at reasonable price from Amazon and on ebay. Hilliers garden centres have had them on special offer recently – but don’t order by post as they charge high postage costs.
