It is frustrating to have new pests, Sorry you had the parsnip moth, sounds horrible. I imagine standard enviromesh keeps it out, but I find that one or two leek moths always find their way in or through.
As for netting I have not used it, am assured that 6mm is the right size hole though it seems large to me. You can but bt as Dipel I think, but in large quantities.
