 Yes indeed, and I put about 50% more compost on tunnel soil than outdoors, because so many more crops are growing all the time. A good time is after winter vegetables such as salads, just before planting tomatoes and other summer vegetables. I spread 5-7cm (2-3in) and that does for a whole year, on clay soil.
