Hi rtj. On a course last March with Charles at RHS Harlow Carr, it was pointed out that they were using strulch to mulch most of their vegetable beds. Charles drew a drill in it with his finger to demonstrate sowing parsnips/ carrots etc. and the consistency was light and fluffy with plenty of moisture held just below the surface – it looked like lovely stuff!
I can’t help you with the specifics I’m afraid as have no personal experience here. Sure charles will have the lowdown tho, or even contact Harlow Carr perhaps? I’ll be interested to hear of your findings should you opt to go with it.
