The topsoil supplier was recommended by a local landscaper as the ‘least worst’ solution. It was the lack of pernicious perennials in it, I think. Access to unlimited cow manure appears key. Delighted that I can start planting but will lower my expectations for this season in view of the less than perfect soil. This is a fascinating and very steep learning curve. Very exciting!
