On various sites I have seen the use of “alfalfa straw” suggested when building a no dig bed. Who from or where might I be able to buy it? I live in south Somerset. I have thought of putting a card in the post office. What do you all think?
Hi,
Alfalfa is also known as Lucerne (well it is round here – Lincolnshire) some of the local farmers grow it for hay. Try asking the local farmers for Lucern instead of alfalfa.
