My first attempt at growing Aubergene was looking so promissing but when I looked under the fruit it  was hollow with woodlice in it :( is this normal?

Hi Bluebell, how frustrating, yes woodlice do like both the fruits and leaves so any low ones are best pruned off until the plant is high enough to grow an aubergine held clear of the soil. They are growing well in this weather so you should ghave a harvest within a fortnight.
