I have read everything written about bindweed and I cannot seem to keep it under control. I dread going to my veggie patch as all I see is weed! I had wood raised beds with bark mulch paths. So my new idea is to cover the whole plot (which is quite large) with landscape plastic, place raised beds on top which I would line with landscape felt and then new soil. Basically I would be container gardening. I don’t have the time to just be constantly pulling bindweed. Not the cheapest solution, my carrots are now at about $5 each. Do you think this is overkill? Am I better off getting rid of the raised beds and do a huge open garden, like yours?

    Only 5!!!!!
Yes take out all boards, much easier.
Don’t lay membrane with soil/compost on top, kills soil life.
Bindweed season finishes soon so reflect over winter.
Lat card next spring between wide-spaced plants. Gives time to pull the rest.
Or cover whole plot on top with polythene, then plant potatoes and squash.
