    Hi All,
I have moved about 30 tonnes of top soil to our veg patch. This soil was from the top layer of the hole we dug for our animal shelter. I didn’t have my dumper at the time so could only shift the soil to one side with the digger. It got overgrown with brambles. I raked off the majority of the brambles with the digger taking a heap of soil with them. I am wondering if the brambles will die if I cover them over and leave them for say six months?

I forgot to say the soil and brambles are all stired up into a tangled heap that is difficult to pull apart. Pulling the brambles out might be the painful but best option. I was wondering if plonking the big heap in an area that will not be touched for a year and covered will result in composting of the brambles or propagation of loads of them?
