My chard has developed brown papery patches on the leaves which get bigger and eventually the leaf dies. What is causing this? I thought it might be hot sun burning the leaves but it is still happening even though now shaded. HELP!!
Swan it’s a leaf miner pest, or rather several of them, tiny grubs which chew out the inside of leaves and leave a papery, dry shell.
They rarely kill plants and best remove damaged leaves, I compost them inc pests.
Keep watered and your plants should recover.
