Not sure where this question should go!
We are about to build a compost bin and are wondering if we can use old floor boards.
These are well seasoned (from the 1930s) and have stained on one side. If we put the untreated side inward will that be ok?
Also I think these boards were treated for woodworm back in the early 80s, as far as I remember from the top (i.e. The stained side). Will this make a difference?Marjorie I would use those boards. Any residues will now be small and they sound ideal.
