I’ve had great success with my new no-dig veg garden, but I’ve just noticed that my caulis that were heading up nicely have in the last few days turned brown – all over the heads. I’m puzzled by this – we’ve had no frost or unusual conditions. They are under enviromesh to keep the hens off. Any thoughts very gratefully received.
How frustrating, when you have been waiting and waiting. January is an unusual month to have cauli’s, except in Cornwall and the Channel Islands, I guess the mild weather brought them on but… I wonder if the frost two weeks ago may have been enough to spoil their looks. I hope they still eat well.
