compost too soon to use?

One of my compost bins is lovely and dark in colour, pretty well broken down,smells good but is still absolutely full of worms as well as some woodlice. should I leave it for longer or can I use it now?

 It sounds wonderful and you can certainly use it now, excellent food for your soil and the worms will be adored by birds all searching for food for their offspring.

If you left it another few months, the volume would decrease as worms turn it into pure humus and it would then be excellent for mixing with some sand to make potting compost.

Thanks for your speedy reply. I shall use it straight away on my allotment. ps I have just read your ‘natural no dig way’ book from cover to cover.(A first for a non fiction book!)I have had too much information sress due to too many different timings ideas etc in books /magazines.But I love the no dig idea and cant wait to get started!
