Does anyone know if it will be possible to get rid of the couch grass out of my asparagus beds or will i have to dig the roots up and start over. It would be a real shame as my asparagus has been giving me crops for a few years now.
When I took over my allotment, I gently teased out 2 barrow loads of couch grass from the asparagus bed. I may have damaged a bit of the asparagus but it’s doing well. By lifting out or pulling any grass I see, there is very little now in year 3.
