    Usually, we have fairly good crops of courgettes but this year, the yield from two otherwise very healthy-looking plants is only a couple each fortnight on average. Is this related to the very hot weather? And if so, could I expect them to start cropping now the temperatures are cooler?

    Ah no, heat makes them crop more quickly.
    It sounds like lack of moisture at root level.
    So if it has rained, or you can water, they will crop.
