    Dear all

A few weeks ago I noticed some scratch marks on my polytunnel covering. The scratching has happened again a few days ago and I am afraid the polythene cover will tear open soon (see pictures). Has anyone had such problem? What could I use to protect my polytunnel so this doesn’t happen again?

Also I have noticed for a while many dead/dried worms on my polytunnel path. I have kept watering to a minimum in there but still don’t understand why earthworms would be dying ?! Any ideas?

    Hi Lottie
Best downsize images to 1MB approx,
    Looks like a cat scratching.
Tunnel polythene is v strong and should be ok. Otherwise buy special sellotape, but I would leave it for now.
I doubt that its earthworms dying, more likely the bright red brandlings from compost, whose life cycle is short. Not a worry though I have not seen the pic.
