East west or north south

Quick question if I may is it better to sow / plant out east west or north south has anyone ever done any trials on this?

Either way is fine Mac except when growing rows of tall veg such as climbing beans, which shade veg to the north when rows are east west.
Main thing is to adapt rows to site and point of access.
Also you can run rows across beds or grow beans in wigwams.
Have fun with that.
