    Hi Charles,

I have an 84 cell module tray of leeks which have been in the tray since I sowed them 5 weeks ago. I cannot transplant them for perhaps another 3-4 weeks and am aware that the compost (Multipurpose Compost) they are growing in will be all but depleted of nutrients at this stage.
I am considering feeding them with a half strength Tomato fertiliser until I can plant them out., What would your thoughts be on this course of action?

    Thanks,

    Don.

You could feed them, better than not. I would pot them on into small-med. pots, the cost of compost is outweighed by extra harvests.

    Hi Charles,

Potting on was my first thought but I simply don’t have the space for 85 small/medium pots right now.
Do you think the Tomato fertiliser would be ok or would you suggest something else?

    Don.

Tomato fertiliser is high potash, what not scatter a few pellets of chicken manure over the modules and water them?
