Garlic

I’ve got some spring garlic and had a little rummage on the weekend and it doesn’t seem to have bulked up at all, wondering if its just not going to happen now or should I leave it in until it starts to bolt. The stems and leaves look pretty tired and yellow now so can’t really imagine it doing anything….

Whatever the reason for it not bulbing, if stems and leaves are yellow, as you say, best harvest and plant some brassicas or whatever. It may bulb a little as it dries.

Stew I thought mu=ine were the same but dug them last weekend and although on the outside they dont have the distinctive ridges inside they do mostly have cloves – although maybe not the big fat ones I had hoped for!
