    Hello Charles

    I hope this post does not stray too much from the topic .

    I stumbled by chance on ‘how to grow more vegetables’ by John Jeavons. I suspect you are familiar with it.
    Do you think a no dig approach could replace the double digging in that method?
    Also interesting is the fact that in biointensive farming one must strive to produce their own compost without animal manures in order to build soil and fertility.
    I guess having enough compost from one’s own fields/veg patch is something many non diggers aspire to ?
    I would appreciate your views on this .

    Yes I and others aspire to making as much compost as possible. It depends on growing area. And yes, no dig with compost mulch is bio intensive plus. Soil structure and soil life is better than after double dig.
