Hey.
There is a place at friends parcel, where he wants to plant fruit bushes and trees.
Ground is extremly compacted in first layer, but in depth of 20-30cm there are a lot of air gaps.
It is a pasture for over 20 years, heavly over-grazed all the time.
Beside application of organic matter on top of soil, what are other beneficial things we can do?
It may be worth using a fork or boradfork to break the surface layer, I have not tried that though, good luck.
