I was about to get some horse manure and then I found out that these days a lot of the grazing that horses do or hay that they eat has been grown using chemical weed killers and the manure produced from this feed is very bad for plants and causes more damage than good?
Is that true, is it very imortant to get organic or weed killer free horse manure or will I be able to get away with normal manure?

Yes its a risk, it has been covered a lot here for many years, see this forum post for example

I would do a germination test as described eg sow peas, broad beans undercover, you know within about three weeks.
The words we use to describe these things are interesting – normal manure for me would be organic!
