I grown Kuri in a container on the rooftop, and some of the young fruits are turning brown. I am in the north of Spain and we have had moderately warm this year. What can I do to prevent this?
Hi rooftop, considering you have enough warmth, it’s lack of root run/moisture/food in proportion to all that leaf and potential fruit.
The plant is aborting the squash because it does not have the resources to grow them to maturity. Squash is not an easy plant to grow in a container. When in soil, they ramble around and stems put new roots down to feed and drink, because growth is so rapid.
