    Hi

    Went on your course last year and really enjoyed it. My question is having just got chickens i have a large amount of leaves. In one of the forum threads it mentions putting leaves into the chicken run then using this as compost is this correct.

     Thanks for your comment, a nice idea this. The idea is hen droppings add nitrogen to the high-carbon leaves, making a balanced manure. And the hens enjoy scratching around leaves so the manure is regularly turned!

    they make it into the finest tilth aswell. i wonder if this would make near perfect potting compost
