Ménage compost , is it OK?

Good morning Charles, it’s a lovely crisp morning here in Essex, and I’ve just been to look at a good few tonnes of well rotted ménage compost at my local stables, it’s made up mostly of very well rotted wood chipping, horse poo and urine, it’s at least two years old and looks just like a good quality topsoil/compost, it’s very friable.

Will it be ok in place of ‘normal’ compost for my top layer bearing in mind it’s mostly wood chipping?

If it’s ok I’m happy to share it’s location with any one who would like to help themselves, self collection only !

On a separate thing , my wife bought me one of your long handled dibbers for Christmas, it was well wrapped and is truly a thing of beauty however the instruction manual was nowhere to be found, Please could you send me one at your earliest convenience.
