    Hi Charles

I notice your photo shows mesh stretched over leeks and carrots directly rather than over hoops. Do you loosen it periodically as the plants grow? For how long do you leave it in place, particularly over the leeks which may not be harvested until next year?

Is it enviromesh? Our plot shop has 2 meter wide mesh and I wonder if this is the best width for this usage

    Best wishes

P.S.. Apologies for so many posts and questions today!

I loosen it occasionally but plants also push it up, even leeks. You need more width to allow for height of crop and some spare e.g. 1.2m bed of cabbage needs 3.6m width, leeks maybe 2m, just. Left until end Sept.
