I’m going to try module sown radish this year at four seeds per station. Is there a recommended spacing ‘on the square’ when it comes to planting these clumps out? 10 – 12″ seems a bit excessive considering the size of the roots.

    Thanks for any pointers.

Yes closer is goo, say 8″ (20cm), and by the time they are ready to go out, if it is not too cold, I sometimes sow early carrots first in 9″ rows, with the radish in lines between them, and fleece over the top.

Wow, that’s a good idea. Thanks, Charles!

Thanks Charles, I’ll give them a go at that spacing. Also thanks for the intersowing/ planting idea. I guess this would work with parsnips aswell.

Best with the lastest addition to your compost factory!

I used two seeds per1 inch module and just placed the modules in the soil completely adjacent to each other across a 1.5m no-dig bed last year. They all grew perfectly and to a very even size.
