I have a clump of chives and a small tarragon bush which have just started to show signs of springing back to life again but once fully established will become squashed by other plants around them. I initially planted both herbs in my flower beds. Can one move established herbs? If one can am I too late in moving them ? If the answer is yes what fertiliser should I give them to help the shock of the move and aid their development.
Hoping you can help.
Best use a sharp spade to cut some edges of root off established clumps, to plant elsewhere. They transplant better than a whole clump. Do this as soon as you can.
No fertiliser, just a thin compost mulch to nourish and mulch the soil.
