    Hello Charles

I have a bed that was dug last year and planted with strawberries (before I knew of no-dig!). I would like to mulch it with compost/old manure now in order to feed the plants and keep the weeds at bay. I am not sure how/how much to mulch as I read strawberries do not like having their crowns buried.
I would really appreciate any advice.

Lottie, its true that strawberries like to sit a bit proud of the surface, but I have found they also enjoy a compost mulch. If it were me I would spread an inch or two between them, as soon as you can so it softens a bit before the growing season.
